Most cookie policies describe cookies the site does not set, because they are copied from a template. This one describes what this website actually does, which is very little.

What this site sets

Nothing. Browsing these pages sets no cookies of ours, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking of you across other websites, no social media embeds phoning home.

That is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. A site that publishes guides and takes enquiries does not need to follow its readers around.

The enquiry form

The one exception is the enquiry form, which is provided by Mortaro Group and loaded from their systems. It may set cookies or use similar browser storage where these are strictly necessary for the form to work: keeping your answers as you move through it, and preventing automated submissions. Storage of that kind is exempt from the consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because without it the thing you asked for would not function.

The form does not set advertising or profiling cookies, and it does not use what you enter to build a profile of you. What happens to the enquiry itself is covered in our privacy policy.

Your browser also stores things

Independently of any website, your browser keeps a cache of images, stylesheets and scripts so pages load faster on a second visit. This is browser behaviour rather than something we set, and clearing it is done through your browser settings.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under privacy or site settings. Blocking them will not affect your reading of this site. It may stop the enquiry form working, in which case email info@heritageskylightsoxford.co.uk instead and you will lose nothing.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, a consent mechanism goes in at the same time and this page is rewritten to say exactly what runs and why. It will not appear quietly.

This page was last revised on 11 August 2026.

How it runs

Four steps, no surprises

01

Survey

We look at the roof, the covering and the slope before we say anything about price.

02

Specification

The right unit and glazing for that roof and that orientation, in plain terms.

03

Fixed quote

Written, itemised and firm. The number does not move once work starts.

04

Install

Opening formed, unit set and weathered, covering made good. Notification is ours.

We start with the building, the covering and the slope. Then we tell you what will suit it, and what it will cost, as a fixed written number.

  • Surveyed before it is priced
